Argh- why do the schools have you use the online system to check things and then, when you call to verify if they'll received a transcript because it is showing up as not submitted online, they tell you to disregard what it says online because they have it. Meh! Anyone else having these issues? All my transcripts should be in place since I ordered them/sent them out the second day of November for a Dec 1 and 15th due date. Le sigh.

Well, life handed me a nioce pile of sh*t this week, so I am not sure if I should be happy for the distraction from applications or if I should focus on applications to distract me from the other tough stuff! Oh, waiting sucks in general!

You have to let it go as everything is out of your hands. I know, I know...so much easier to say then do. But realize that a lot of us are doing the same thing. Good luck and have fun at home over the holidays!

Don't let it get to you like I let it get to me...one of my references waited until just hours before the deadline. I was Fah-rea-king out. Relax. Breathe. It is out of your hands.

glad to hear that your LOR came in, albeit in a nerve-wracking manner. Take a deep breath and do not worry about the other LORs...everything will work out, it seems.

Rec Update: All are now in (within deadline!) for today! I'm on vacation with my husband and now can relax because I just got the word. Now all of my rec's are in for the 15th except for one prof who is going to do them this weekend. *sigh of relief* Now I'm going to go treat my husband to a glass of champagne....after all, the application process IS 3/4 of the battle! Good luck, all!!

I'm freaking out and I'm on vacation!! Two of my references have submitted rec's for schools that have deadlines today. One reference did not submit recommendations for two schools that are due for today and has been completely MIA about it...and there are only a few hours until deadline. At this point I think those apps are done-for and I'll just have to wait to see how I do for the others and then make sure that same reference does the rest that have Dec. 15th deadlines. I did everything on time (early even!) and now this is happening... I want to cry.

I hate to argue, but it depends on the school. I just received an email from Illinois: Urbana-Chapaign stating that apps will be considered incomplete until all elements, inc. recommendations, are in and they must be in by the deadline. After the deadline only complete apps will be considered. Just a word of warning...

Letters can go in ON the 1st, yes. I have just found out that my one reference has not turned in a bunch of letters that are due this week....and is not responding to my emails and I won't be on campus to see her personally before the 1st (out of town, not just lazy)...now I'm very worried as letters have to get in or the app will be incomplete and won't be considered. And I did everything I had to do!!! **panic face**

Ah, my rec's still need to get some in, too. No worries, though, they'll get them in. Just breathe a sigh of relief that you are finished!

Perhaps time will march a wee bit slower until then and we can all enjoy the holiday season without too much nervous stomach issues.

I understand your pain with this. I am in the last weeks of the term as well and I have major papers coming up. But I am happy to say that I got all my apps in last night so I can now fully focus on schoolwork without the nagging app deadlines. Good luck with the end of term!

Awesome! You must feel good! I just submitted all of mine and I feel so much better! Of course the nervousness about hearing back hasn't set in yet...but I'll take this nice little break while I can.
Sorry... Hope things get better for you. The waiting is the worst.
