I hear that this program is really bad and no one likes it and the city is terrible so people who are accepted should decline their spots for me. -

bump on milwaukee. people say certain areas aren't the best to live in, but the same is said about richmond (and in my opinion isn't true). what is the music scene like (namedrop bands or whatever)? how cold does it get (i grew up in the south)? is there a trainrider/traveler community?

Today I can finally join this thread. My peoples are you with me, where you at? In the front, in the back, killer-bees on attack. My people are you with me, where you at? Smoking meth, hitting cats on the block with the gats. -
Wait listing is NOT the end!
user_name replied to readingredhead's topic in Literature, and Rhetoric and Composition
I just got waitlisted for a funded MA and a Chancelor's award from another school on the same day. Problem is, the school that accepted me can't guarantee a TA-ship and wants to know whether I accept the award within a few weeks. How long waiting it out is too long? How kosher would it be to contact the school I got into and say I'll take it, depending on what they can offer and/or if other ones fall through? -
going to claim that acceptance.

definitely now one of my top choices. i talked the department many months back and they said they defer PhD applicants to the MA so hopefully something good will come of it. -
nothing in my junk folder and my status hasn't changed. holding out on emailing the department.

I majored in English but concentrated in creative writing, hence a lack of papers/knowledge/etc. Now I'm starting to see the results. At least I have plenty of MA programs to hear back from. -

I'm wondering about that too, talking about the punk rock counterculture and left anarchist narratives.
