Given your work experiences, reference letter, and undergrad GPA, also looking at your AWA score, I'd also assume you are a good writer and your personal statement is probably also very compelling. I'd say if you are applying for MPH programs, you are in a terrific shape. GRE is barely used as a screening tool and if you pass the minimum requirement, you should be fine : )

Volunteer would be the best way to pick what you rally like without obligation. I am not sure which region of the country you are at now, but in California, most public health jobs require either high proficiency or ability to speak another language in native speaker level. -
Dee, I actually planning on to arrive at the place one day before and trying to arrange meeting with my assigned adviser and hopefully talk to a couple more students in the lab.

Correct me if I am wrong but emergency prep seems like a relatively tiny discipline in the field of public health, maybe due to funding priority and low need. You might want to look into public policy as well. It seems more relevant to me : )

I emailed UMich HBHE program coordinator last night about admission decisions, and the lady said that the decision is pretty much done and will mail out decision at latest next Friday!So for people who applied for HBHE in UMich, we can expect results in two weeks. Fingers crossed!!

Any one got phone calls from admission committees for informal phone conversations? I got one from UW, the lady asked me some questions that they want me to elaborate more on some points in my application package and let me ask some questions about the department. I don't think it is a formal interview since it seems individualized and not as structured and I do wonder if it is a good sign or not..
