I think they have only sent a few emails as of right now. The majority of emails (first round offers, that is) will be sent next week. So there is every reason to expect a positive response in the coming days. Also, you should contact the graduate assistant to find out the status of your application.

*Jenny*, mine also appears as blank. It won't change. The grad coordinator at the political science department said that we will get a direct email from them, regardless of whether it is an acceptance or a rejection. In any case, the status would remain blank. This, I'm sure, varies by department.

Generally, yes. Part of the reason why that is the case is because deadline for a lot of Canadian programs is usually in January or February, unlike American schools where deadlines are usually in December.

MattCC, you already have some assurance because you got accepted to George Mason. At least you've a choice. The wording of the letter could have obviously been better; I don't why OSU phrased the rejection in those terms.

Yce3f7c, this largely depends on the program you're applying. Queen's, in general, is known to be a good, mid-size research university. I'm not really sure how Queen's is viewed as far as humanities is concerned, but in my field, that is, politics, it is very well regarded and would certainly count as one of the top universities in Canada.
