  1. 5/6. 5 acceptances and 1 rejection.
  2. I would say go with McMaster.
  3. It is their obligation to let you know the final decision, whether its an acceptance or a rejection. I would say wait for a couple of days and then give them a call.
  4. Has anyone heard back from University of Alberta Poli Sci? I don't know when they will email us about our application updates.
  5. You should contact graduate administrators or coordinators. They are usually the ones who send out offers (as in email on behalf of the department) and deal with inquiries regarding application procedures and status updates.
  6. Like my people who have gotten multiple acceptances, I am confused as to where I should go. I have been accepted at Queen's for their MA in political studies program with full funding. In addition, I got accepted at McGill for their MA in political science program, no word on funding yet. I am inclined to accept the offer by Queen's because of their course offering and the research interests of their faculty members. On the other hand, McGill is considered as one of the top universities in Canada but their faculty members specialize in an area which is very different from what I am interested in. I will only go, if i go, to McGill because of their reputation. At the end of the day, I want to do a phd in political science from an American university. My question is this: will it hurt me if I go to Queen's instead of McGill? Will my chances increase if I do my MA from McGill? Any help will be much appreciated.
  7. Western and Saskatchewan are viewed positively. I know for sure that Western has a better reputation overall, but then I have heard good things about Saskatchewan. I have no clue about Manitoba so I cannot comment on the strength of the department nor how it is viewed in Canada. You should have heard from Western by now as I got rejected a week back and some people got acceptances in the second week of March. One thing that I know about Western and Saskatchewan is that they provided decent funding, Saskatchewan more so than Western.
  8. I was admitted to the MA Poli Sci program at McGill a couple of minutes ago. Those of you who are still waiting should hear back soon. Good luck!
  9. I applied to the MA program in political science as well. Apparently, the graduate assistant is away and won't be back until next week. I guess its no use contacting the department right now, maybe next week.
  10. Is anyone headed to Queen's this Sept. for political science?
  11. I haven't contacted McGill, but I might email them and explain my situation.
  12. I applied to 6 programs and have been accepted by two. Waiting impatiently to hear back from McGill and Western.
