@nouveau.ukiyo i heard back about financial aid offers today via email as well, though i received an email notice for acceptance last wednesday. the acceptance email said that i'd receive notification from apply yourself once the official acceptance letter (with scholarship information) had been posted to the application site. i still haven't been able to access this official letter on apply yourself, though. if you've been able to access your official letter, i think it's safe to assume georgetown has disclosed all decisions on scholarships to you as well.

i know the emails said we'd get financial aid info by march 30, but has anyone heard back about this?

it's a hard decision to make, especially with georgetown and hks funding still up in the air. i honestly don't expect anything, but it'd still be silly to make a decision until i know what all my options are. i've decided to turn down sipa's offer, however, as they've already told me no money. georgetown's small class size/location/rigor/faculty are some of its greatest draws for me, despite the fact that i think it is the least best match for me of the four schools, curriculum-wise. i really am torn between hks and sais right now, but the financial aid package i got from sais only had loans. the cost issue really just dampens the whole "let's get excited about acceptances" thing real quick. basically, i don't know anything useful yet

have people who received acceptance emails also been invited to look at the official acceptance letter on apply yourself? i got the acceptance email five days ago, but no word yet on when the official letter (and its funding info) will be made available to me.

my mother, after i told her i got into all the schools i applied to: "is it easier to get into grad school than it is to get into college?"

my current boss wrote one of my recs, but i'm faced with kind of an uncomfortable situation right now: she's way more confident than i am that i'll get in somewhere (haven't heard back from anywhere yet), so she's already started asking around for my replacement now i'm just holding onto my office chair hoping some other person doesn't swoop in to take away my fallback plan if i don't get in this year.

I hope to hear at least by mid-March across the board. Part of the reason being I've already read the shit out of the government affairs forum and I've run out of things that can distract me. Plus there's really just no kidding myself about even pretending to be a normal, productive human being.

i know my decisions will be released in mid to late march so my life isn't ruined (yet), but i just wanted to say that the title and tags on this thread are hilarious.

take what i have to say with a grain of salt as i didn't do a masters at sciences po paris, but i was a year-long exchange student there for the premier cycle in 2007-08. although i can't comment on the masters program, i'm inclined to agree with beefmaster about library inadequacy and poor student support from the administration. the library system at sciences po suffers from a lack of space. the overall collection is modest and spread across multiple buildings. even if you find a book you want, you'll likely have to face long wait-times in the inter-library lending process. the sciences po library and i did not get along, but i'll also admit that i was spoiled by my home university's much vaster store. on the flipside, it's not difficult to get membership at france's ginormous national library. maybe sciences po its grad students differently, but i found myself consistently frustrated with the student services. they've perhaps changed in the past five years, but back then important things like transcripts or comprehensive schedules were not digitized. the server for the course sign-up system crashed more often then not. internal messages about things like class cancellations, classroom changes, etc. were not sent in a timely manner if at all. subsequently seeking help from the staff didn't prove to be much better. a lot of the mandatory administrative tasks like student registration were simple enough (if you were even informed about them!) and i managed to scrape by. but i often felt like i was blindly feeling my way around without clear instructions. maybe i alone was unlucky or just dumb. but i do not have a favorable opinion of the school's administrative services. that said, i really enjoyed my experience at sciences po, for better or worse. i was impressed with the quality of the faculty, program rigor, and international student body. extremely helpful in boosting my french to academic/professional proficiency, too. ultimately, french pedagogy is not my thing. swhy i've applied to schools in the states, despite the much, much higher tuition.

i'd hate to assume, but that's where my mind first went... no way to know for sure unless someone verifies with the admissions/financial aid office. i'm in the same boat. i submitted the financial aid application immediately after my last grad school application and i have not received this email notice about the march 1 extension.
