While at an interview weekend with a school another girl and myself both received emails from that school with titles saying some ting to the effect " XXXXXXX University Admissions" that turned out to be tips for admission so it got us so excited then confused.

Did you see the post on the results board where someone contacted CU and they were just rejected to the FAQ? I might have giggled to my self and thought good thing PrincessBride is on top of this.

There are a few of us floating around and as far as I know there has been no word either way. Good luck and let me know if you hear anything!

So, I have a few questions an I am hoping that someone here might have the answers and in the alternative we can wait and worry together. So after receiving a wait list email is it acceptable/ok/standard procedure to contact the school and ask for more information? How should we think about them are they soft rejections or soft acceptances? Any other advice or experiences? Thanks!!

@j.rona not all programs require interviews it varries. What programs did you apply for? Good luck !!

@erictian I might not be answering what you are asking but here you go according to the HGSE tread their invites have gone out for their PhD programs. If you are asking about BC I haven't heard anything about interviews I didn't apply to HGSE but at BC I applied for C&I.

hey @jlt646 what rankings are you looking at most of the traditional sources i.e. us News have Penn State at 36ish did you mean UPenn which is 7th? Or were you looking at a specialty ranking?

Hey, I think an interview is a great sign. but how good of a sign is dependent on the program, it could be anything from almost a guarantee to a 1 in 3 chance. Good Luck!

I am going to an amazing production so at least for today I am ok. I had one interview all ready and it was short like 45 minutes from door to door. It was a good conversation and I think it went well but until I get the final word..... The other one is the week after next and I am super excited about it!
