  1. SFU Goers: after receiving the email of your recommendation, how long did it take to get the official offer and what other process have you gone through? Thanks.

  3. Friends, Peeps I just off SFU's waitlist. I've been recommended to the DGS for admission into MPH Global Health. I just have to wait for the official offer. Am so overjoyed, happy, over the moon ... Just fill in the dots.
  4. Friends, Peeps I just got off SFU's waitlist. I've been recommended to the DGS for admission into MPH Global Health. I just have to wait for the official offer. Am so overjoyed, happy, over the moon ... Just fill in the gaps.
  5. @ Ironman: Basically a professional program like MPH, MPA etc means the students interest is work oriented ie the student is more interested in working (public, private corporations etc) than in research in the field and the Academia. The Msc means that the student is Research oriented, is geared towards researching in the field, going on to Phd, becoming a Prof and teaching in the academia. Please note that an MPH holder can get into the Public Health PhD Program with his MPH in SOME schools while the MSc holder can get into the Public Health PhD program with his MSc in ALL schools. That's the basic fact about both degrees. Hope I helped a little at least.
  6. @ Anant, am yet to receive the official email offer of admission from U of S since after the recommendation email. I emailed them and they replied that the unexpected admission work load is causing the delay.
  7. @ Linten, congrats on your acceptance into your top choices. Which stream of MPH did you apply to in SFU? Am waitlisted for SFU Global Health and praying to get accepted off their waitlist.

  10. @jokkie, Congrats on your offer from U of S. Am yet to receive mine though.
  11. Congrats on your SFU Offer. Both are good schools. I believe choice of school depends on one's interest and compatibility with that of the school. I applied to SFU Global Health and was placed on their waitlist. Good Luck to us all.
  12. @ Mantwi, I applied for the In Class MPH at University of Saskatchewan.
  13. Jokkie, just like you, am yet to receive my official letter from the CGSR U of S after the Recommendation Email Letter I received on March 233rd. I noticed that your location is Nigeria and am in Nigeria too. So it could be a peculiar issue probably vetting of Transcripts and other documents is taking time in Naija Uni's.

  18. SFU hopefuls who have received an email recommending them for admission please remember to share when you receive your official admission offer and the deadline for you to accept and pay the Tuition Deposit. Thank You.
  19. @ Anant, Dentist24 and University of Saskatchewan hopefuls recommended but yet to get their official offer. The CGSR finally replied my email this evening they said they were expecting to have all the offers out fast but experienced complication in the process which is what has caused the delay. They hope to resolve the matter hopefully by the end off this week and on behalf of the school of public health and the CGSR say thank you for my patience in the matter. So all who were recommended and still waiting for their offer, relax but continue praying and very soon we all will smile and join others in preparations to start Grad school in Fall this year. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for all who showed concern to my predicament.
