  1. To be honest, most of the housing in the University District is already accounted for. I would look into housing NOW if you need/want to be in the immediate off-campus area. If not, I would still start looking soon at things like Craigslist for surrounding districts (Clintonville and The Short North are both close to campus and easily accessible via bike, public transit [the fee for which you pay automatically by enrolling], and, for the Short North, by foot). We are a huge university and our housing search starts in January for leases that start in August/September. I don't have experience with the grad housing, but I did live on campus for a year as an undergrad and figured I would speak up, since their rules are probably harder to live with than grad rules would be. That being said, we didn't really have rules. No curfew, so rule against opposite sex in your room. The only rules were no alcohol, drugs, or candles, and quiet after 9 during finals week.
  2. So excited for everyone that got into their programs! Hopefully Harvard puts you all out of your misery soon! I applied to Vanderbilt, Ohio State, Indiana Bloomington, Brown, and Dayton. The only school I am waiting to hear back from is Brown- the rest were all positive, thankfully! I am not waiting on Harvard (too expensive for me!) but I wish you all the best!
  3. Anyone around the board accepted into the M.Ed for Secondary Education program? I wasn't able to make it to the visitation day so I feel like I missed out on getting to meet anyone else who'd been accepted. Not sure if I can attend-- it is scary expensive-- but it is my top choice and the program I ideally want to attend so I figured I'd stop by the board!
  4. Congrats to everyone! Anyone here from one of the M.Ed cohorts? I've met the majority of the English group but we haven't had a chance to meet anyone from the other subjects.
  5. Found out in January about my admission into the M.Ed program, but only just now found out about this site! Vandy is by far my top choice, but not sure if I can actually attend yet due to funding. I received only a partial scholarship, sadly. Have you folks spent much time in the Nashville area?
