Me too. It seems they sent out the waitlisted results all at once since so many people seem to have been emailed the same thing today.
The wait continues.
I think I may treat myself to a new 13" Laptop so I can stop lugging this behemoth around!
Not sure what an industrial is, but if it becomes an issue, you can always take it out later, right?
I don't think so. At least I hope not. I think open house is kind of a preset date, but each department's admission committee works on its own pace/schedule.
Stanford for ex., if I'm not mistaken, has already had their open house, but PhD decisions for my major don't come out till late March/early April, and I checked the results page, no one's got a reply yet. Same with a few other schools.
I haven't heard back from any school I applied to yet (I'm applying for a PhD). Only had one interview with a POI at CMU, and I should hear back an answer on that in a week or so.
I am worried at the silence, but I'm hopeful. Not hearing back might simply mean that they simply have a lot of applications to go through and aren't done yet.
I'll probably continue panicking and add a side of meltdown. Email to ask for a status update.
I'm not so much worried about not hearing back (I know I will eventually) but more about hearing back a resounding "No".
This, after telling someone that I work as an instructor at my university and I'm applying for a PhD.
"Oh, you're applying for a PhD. But have you ever had a real job?"
Apparently, I don't have a real job. I just get paid for imaginary work.... sigh.
It seems that the Humanities hear back from programs earlier. I've applied to 5 schools and haven't heard back from any yet. Looking at the results page few others have (at least from these same schools).
All I've had was 1 skype interview.
No emails, status updates, or anything yet.
Only good news so far is I just whacked that mosquito that somehow sneaked in my room. It's been taunting me for the last 30 minutes!
