I think it's all about preference. I didn't apply to csula this time, and it was basically because they don't offer the concentration or classes that lb does. CSULA offers the forensic track, which no other nearby campus does, I thinK, except maybe for usc. But csula doesn't offer the pps credential, which is my interest. So it's really about what your interests and professional goals are. Good luck with your choice!

Still, I'm pretty bummed. I've been put on pending in the past and it never worked out in my favor. I'm really trying to stay positive, but darnit it's so frustrating!

I hope I hear soon. My current employer is offering me a supervisory position and if I don't get in anywhere, this would be a great opportunity. There's a lot lying with these type of things. I wish they could understand that a little better.

You can't really check for a pending status. They'll basically get back to you at the end of the application cycle when all decisions have been made. Sorry, but it sounds like we're all in limbo right now. Basically waiting for people to reject their admittance, remove themselves from the pending list and finishing up all the bulk of the applications. what I've read from multiple sources is that they are shooting for all decisions to be made by the end of this month. So hang in there, just a couple more weeks..

are you looking in to an msw? Also, do you Know what your GPA is for the last 60 semester/90 quarter units? Msw programs usually only look at that. So if the last two years you did well, you should have a pretty good chance. Coupled with excellent letters, experience and personal statement.

Has anyone who has gotten a rejection contacted the program to receive feedback on their application? I was told in my letter I could, and have sent a few emails and they haven't replied to any of them. It's insult to injury at this point, given I spent a lot of time, energy and money into my application, GRE, etc.

Is anyone willing to ask if all the spots are filled for the full time program? I've emailed two weeks ago and never got a response.

Sounds like you have a long wait if you just applied last week. It takes a while to just get a confirmation of your items, usually.

Don't lose hope! How many programs did you apply to? Honestly that debt is not worth it. There are additional things you can do to help you if you decide to reapply.
