  1. Is csuf your first choice? I see you've been accepted a few other schools.
  2. There's still hope! You said they told you that you could call and ask about your status right? I'm sure there will be more emails sent out in the coming weeks.
  3. Gaaaaaah!Snail mail? Edit: just saw you used email. Hmm..
  4. I sent my GRE scores to CSUDH back in December, along with the rest of the schools, and now they are telling me that they don't accept electronic GRE scores only hard copies attached with the supplemental application packet. I didn't see this (still don't) stated anywhere on the application. When i called to see about it, they told me applicants were told this at the informational meeting. I'm kinda bummed that they are doing this, I'm not sure how, but my scores ended up at Admissions and Records, but they still won't accept them as they are late. However, and this is where it gets interesting, I accidentally forgot to send in a form and they emailed me and let me know and gave me until early April to send in this missing item otherwise it would be considered incomplete. How is it they can give me a pass for one item, but not the other? Given, the GRE scores are optional, but I still don't understand it. Anyone else in the same boat?
  5. Since it's so close to the deadline, I would call. An email might not be read in time. Just be honest, you are not ready to make a decision and would like to know if you could get an extension. It shouldn't be a big deal since schools get these requests all the time. Unless your school has some sort of policy against it.
  6. Don't know that, maybe you can contact admissions? But according to Tonk, below, you may be hearing very soon! I didn't apply until January so I'll probably be among the May letters My gut tells me there weren't a lot of October applicants anyhow. Lol So you may hear quicker than you think.
  7. Eek. Now I'm thinking about that darn interview. Now that's nerve-wrecking. What to say, what NOT to say. Things can easily go downhill if something is misconstrued.
  8. Ahh, ok. I applied to the fullerton campus, full time. Hope we both make the cut! Aaagh
  9. Omgosh, thank you! I panicked and thought maybe my application was incomplete or something! Lol. Can I ask what campus you applied to?
  10. Anyone else having difficulty viewing the application status report? I keep having error messages.
  11. I have those buttons too. I was told that hey will be letting us know this month. Just a couple more weeks! Hang in there!
  12. Same! It's been three weeks, so I'm hoping I get at least an update on my materials having made it. Last time I applied I got a notification of my pending status around the end of march. We'll see if I'm luckier this time around.
  13. Heard anything yet? Confirmation of your sent items at least? They said it can take 2 to 6 weeks to just confirm. Eep.
  14. *Twiddles thumbs nervously* This wait is horrid!
  15. From what I've read, people will accept and pay the deposit to secure their spot, just in case and then later withdraw their acceptance and lose their deposit. The only sucky part is that in doing that, you are potentially taking a seat from another student and of course you lose your deposit. you could call the schools you still need to hear back from and let them know about your situation, that you've been accepted by other programs and would like to know if a decision has been reached. Sometimes they'll pull your application and tell you right the and there (that's the exception however). Good luck! at least you have a for sure thing! Better than none at all!
  16. So long as you're nice and respectful I don't see why it would hurt your chances. Now, if you were sending emails every week, than I can see how that wouldn't help you. Just start it off with something like, "I know it's a busy time for you all and apologize for any inconvenience, but.....etc. kind regards!
  17. What do you mean by diverse school and better location (at USC)? What are you looking for in a program? Does USC offer something that UCLA cannot? Both are very good schools. Is cost of relevance to you?
  18. No problem! I'm super anxious. I'll be checking daily either way. Lol
  19. Was told that there was a high number of applicants this cycle (no surprise) and notifications should be sent out mid March. Wouldn't elaborate on my question about interviews, though. So not sure if they are conducting them. Or only for a select few.
  20. You are a brave soul taking an online stats class! I commend you lol.
  21. Anyone willing to ask the department how many seats are left? :/
  22. Unless usc is funding at least half, id go with ucla!
  23. I don't know about the 2 year being full, but I do know you can be waiting well into June or July to hear back regarding your admission decision.
  24. They send them out, at least the rejection letters, at 3am pacific time.
