You are really kind!!! Thank you so much. Anyway, we will know it in a couple weeks, I hope. Good luck and let me know if you get in :)) How was your interview?

The interview was fine! The three faculty members on the call were great, and it wasn't too high-stress or formal, which I appreciated. Really hoping you hear from them soon!

And thank you, I appreciate it! This isn't an easy or fun process for anyone ("excruciating" might be the term I'd go with), but it'll all work out in the end. Doesn't mean I'll stop refreshing the app portals and gradcafe every three minutes, but what can one do.

Congratulations, that's awesome! Have heard great things about IU. I've gotten into similar Russian/Eurasian studies MA programs at U of Michigan and George Washington University. Just waiting to hear back from Harvard, Yale, and Georgetown now. Which one are you leaning toward?

Thank you so much! I will need a full tuition fee waiver and a scholarship to be able to afford my studies, so I’m waiting for the financial aid information. Congrats on your acceptances and wish you all the best with other schools you are still awaiting responses from!

Got it, makes sense - same here. Really banking on FLAS for those schools that offer it (luckily I got it through Michigan, but neither Georgetown nor GWU offer it for Russian/Eurasian studies). Congrats and best of luck to you as well, hoping everything works out for the best!

Georgetown has posted their admissions results. I got accepted, but did not get any funding.

Congratulations! I got in as well, with some modest funding. Was hoping for a bit more.

Hi owo37, and congratulations on your offers! I was wondering if you'd be willing to share when and how you heard from Michigan about FLAS? I applied for a different language but haven't heard anything, and am getting really antsy.

Hi beagleb! I was notified via email on Feb. 24 that I was awarded academic year FLAS. It was an unofficial congratulations, and the official letter is still to come. I'm still waiting to hear back about Michigan summer FLAS. Did you apply for academic year and summer, or just one or the other?

Thanks for the information! I'm already a student at UM (a different department & language, though) and anxiously waiting for FLAS results. I applied for AY only, and this is my first time applying.

Ah, got it! Hopefully they just haven't notified folks about FLAS for your department/language yet. Best of luck, I hope you do get it! For what it's worth, it was someone from CREES specifically who reached out to me, so that could be a good sign.

Congratulations on your acceptance to Yale! That is really a great program with some fantastic professors. Currently, I am applying for some scholarships and fellowships, would be happy with any university I got accepted by.

Thank you! I think I'm leaning toward either Yale or Michigan at this point, since they offer FLAS and would be much easier financially. Still waiting on FLAS notifications from Yale, though, it's possible I won't be awarded.

That's great! Let me know what you decide, I'll be curious to see where you end up. Best of luck with the scholarships and fellowships!

Cool, good luck, if you can, please share how it goes after.

What schools you applied else? (besides Harvard)

Absolutely, will get back to you, I did Harriman Institute and Georgetown, and when admissions roll, I will also do Leiden in the Netherlands. What about you?

Yes, it's an extensive program with a lot of EU grants! Admissions in Europe start later, so I will apply if I don't get into the American programs. Another school is Central European University but not as region-specific as REECA, REERS and CERES but specialisation is possible and the staff is great
