Has anyone on the forum received a written decision concerning Duke's MTS? Has Duke sent status emails, letters, or online updates?

Congrats Giraffe and Whubbla on being accepted! Did you post the Duke MTS phone calls on the Results Page, or are those from two others?

I haven't gotten anything from Duke other than the phone call. They said they would send a mailing in the next 'week or so.'

When I asked about financial aid they said that the FAFSA wasn't due until May. I told her I'd already submitted it, but she didn't seem like they were in any rush to announce any scholarship info, which is frustrating, since it will be a big part of my decision.

I did post on the results page, so at least one of them is mine. With only a few people having posted here, though, I wouldn't lose hope! They don't seem to have many people in the admissions office, so I'm sure it takes them a while.

Thanks for the reminder...need to post mine. At least one of those is from another person.

After obsessing all week (and since December 15...) I just found out that I got into U Chicago. I feel super relieved that I got in somewhere. Hello grad school 2010!

Congratulations! How did you find out?

Thanks! I called the office of admissions--not because I'm a crazy person or anything (I swear!). I'm going to be in Chicago over the weekend for a conference though, and I wanted to get my decision before I left for my trip. I was patched through to the dean of admissions, who then told me that I got in. She mentioned that they're planning on sending out letters today, so they should be arriving soon! I don't understand why they don't post results online.

I'm hoping to find out more about the program on Monday, when I visit. Do you know a lot about the general AM/MA program?

Congrats! Maybe I should come up with a little story about visiting this weekend too....I suppose that I will just wait until the grand ole' USPS delivers the letter to me here in Georgia.

Would you also be attending the prospective student's day? Do you know anything about that?

Actually, I don't know much about the AM program at UChicago. I only applied because my sister lives in the city, and I figured that it would be nice to be close to family. Unless UChicago blows me away with an offer of funding (unlikely, based on past results), I'll probably be going to BC in the fall. Still, there are some awesome names on the UChicago faculty. Congratulations again!

Yale's decisions are on the website early!...

And I just got rejected. Oh well... one step closer to Emory, I suppose. Good luck to the rest of you!

Yale decisions are online. I got waitlisted. Doesn't give me much hope for Harvard who seem even more selective :(

I feel that... I got flat out rejected! Waiting on the decision from Harvard seems futile at this point. Oh well. Good luck to you, who knows what Harvard's looking for this year?...

Got accepted into Yale's MAR Bible concentration. Now waiting on funding (which is apparently in the mail). Perhaps now I can enjoy the weekend sans nervousness.

I wouldn't give up hope. I got into ND, which accepted 16% this year, and got waitlisted for YDS, which accepted 44%. The applicant pools may not be the same, but I feel like the schools really are looking for different things.

Where did you find those acceptance rates?

Where did you find those acceptance rates?

Both from emails from the schools--Yale sent one this morning I assume to all applicants. ND the email was just to the accepted MTS students.

got into Yale's concentrated program! Does anyone know if these are the more selective programs within the Yale MARs?

Apparently the concentrated MARs are the very selective, but I don't have numbers for you. The 44% acceptance rate that people have been quoting about Yale is for MDiv and MARs, though rates within MDiv differ from within Comprehensive MAR, which differ from Concentrated MARs, just so everyone knows...
