BacktotheBlackBoard
I am a strong applicant looking to apply to cell bio/immunology programs for PhD. I am confident in all areas of my application except my GRE: Q: 158 (68%) V: 165 (96%) W: 4.5 My worry is that the top programs I am aiming for (Harvard/MIT/Yale/UW) will weed me out due to the quantitative 158. I put all the effort I could into GRE studying and would like to avoid doing it again. If I retake it I believe my quantitative will improve but my verbal will also suffer. Is it necessary to redo it?

StemCellFan
You don't need to retake it. Those scores should be good enough to get you through an initial screening.
sbaringer
Keep in mind too that most schools are not requiring the GRE this cycle and the ones that do are heavily demphasizing it. strugglebus2k17
