Hi everyone,

I presented my research at a peer-reviewed scientific meeting and with that, my symposium speaker abstract was published in an open-access peer-reviewed journal. Is this even worth mentioning on a CV? It seems so trivial to me.

Thanks!

You can put that you presented at that meeting on your CV under "presentations," but do not list a "published abstract" as a "publication."

Yes, I think that definitely has significance and you should include it under presentations.

Sorry - I should have been more specific. I meant the published abstract.

Thank you!

It's field specific but as far as I can tell conference proceedings don't seem to get any weight in psych. If there's a doi that can link people to your abstract online, I'd just add it at the end of your presentation citation (I've seen people linking presentations/posters to online repositories like OSF).

You can have a specific conference proceedings section. They are weighted less than formal pubs but more than other presentations.
