Whynottry Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Hey there! I got a 4.5 on the analytical section of the GRE but both the quantitative and verbal were under the average scores for the two. Should I be worried and retake the GRE? It would be my third time. Feedback would be helpful!!! Thanks.
Rezzy S. Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 (edited) It may be difficult to get a test date and scores in time for most application deadlines. However, if you've already worked that part out, consider your overall profile and how competitive the schools you're applying to are. If your scores are in each in the 140's, you're not too far from the desired 300 total and if you have a 3.7+ GPA, decent experience/extracurriculars, and good SOP/Letters of Recc you're probably still a fairly competitive applicant. The other thing to consider is how competitive the programs you're applying to are. See how your GRE scores stack up on Edfind. Good luck! Edited December 19, 2018 by Rezzy S.
Kandykane Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 I'm in the same boat as you. I have a pretty high GPA 3.9 but my gre scores are low 140s. My awa was a 4 though. I think as long as you have a decent GPA, good recs and a solid statment of purpose you will be ok.
