I recently got waitlisted for NYMC’s program and was asked if I wanted to be put on the waitlist or not. I definitely want to but was wondering if I should include an additional thank you note or essay explaining why I’m a good fit for the program to help make my case. NYMC is one of my top choices, so I’m hoping to increase my chances of being admitted off the waitlist. For anyone who has been on a waitlist or knows someone who has, any advice is much appreciated! I sent an email to the two people who interviewed me thanking them for their time and briefly talked about something that was discussed on the interview. I think sending an additional thank you note would be appropriate! Best of luck on the rest of grad school decisions, and especially for NYMC. It's a great program - I have a feeling many students who got in earlier put their deposits in to save spots, so you'll definitely get slotted for a seat!
