Depending on the schools you plan on applying to, a 142 may not be enough to get past the paper screening. (Two of the schools I applied to required a minimum of 145 in both Q and V) So check the admission requirements for the four schools that you're applying to to decide whether or not your need to retake the GRE to reach that cutoff if you have one. I would recommend you go to the ASHA EDFIND to find the average GRE scores and GPA admitted to the four schools you're applying to. You can find it here https://www.asha.org/edfind/ to compare your stats to admitted students in the program. Your V is pretty good, and depending on your AW I would suggest that you not take the GRE again (Especially with a GPA as high as yours)

A waitlist isn’t a guarantee of acceptance. Treat it as such.

You need to aim for more As in your COMD classes. Just imagine that these next classes determine the rest of your life. You’ve already gotten some Bs, so I’d really suggest you find a method of studying that results in more As (and not rely on the professor rounding grades) You won’t be fairing well if you have a C in your COMD classes. (Because Cs are considered failing/need to retake in grad school)

Yes. My cumulative gpa was a 3.25 (I don’t think it’s high compared to other slp applicants.) I honestly believe that my 3.90 COMD gpa (from a second bachelors) allowed me to be interviewed at every SoCal school that I applied to.

You know yourself and your study habits. Personally, I’m the kind of person who likes to study at home with no distractions. To me, a roommate is a potential distraction and is not worth the money saved from splitting costs. Unless your roommate is a friend. I would say live alone. After classes you’ll just want to go straight home and potentially not want to see anyone else. (At least for me.) (And I’ve heard plenty of roommate horror stories.)

UoP admission costs are in-line for a private university aren’t they? 80kish tuition for two years?

I’ll be attending graduate school in Southern California for FA2019. I’m not quite sure where yet though.

It's really easy. Nothing compared to the GRE. I took mine years ago, and if you're a native english speaker, you should be able to do it in one try, without studying for it.

No such thing as safety schools, as they're all competitive. I still remember the post in the results page for SLP where they were WAITLISTED to all seven on their schools. You'll find that you won't be able to apply to many schools, since many programs require the GRE. (Even schools people may consider to be "safety" schools.)

Not crazy at all. In this life, an hour commute sounds like a normal amount of driving.

Can I ask when you interviewed? if I was accepted, I would be conflicted on where to attend! Biola or Chapman

California Baptist University made it a point that while the faculty is Christian, students were not required to be. (although undergrads have to attend chapel) Biola did want to know your faith, asking questions about Christian doctrine in an essay format and requiring you to agree a statement of faith that a nonchristian wouldn't agree to before completing an application. (Emehteg1's case). They also include phrases such as "Students will be taught from a Christian worldview in order to promote the fullest understanding of humankind and the world." So you have an idea of what you're applying to. If you were agnostic/atheist, you probably wouldn't be accepted to Biola. (Because of the conflicting viewpoints, and the fact you need Pastoral recommendation as well)
