wishiwasbeyonce Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Hey guys! I just attended an open house today and hearing about the structure of the program, classes, and expenses was so overwhelming. I honestly went home and cried for like an hour because I feel SO unprepared for grad school. I can't help but think I won't be able to do it. Am I the only one feeling this way??
Rezzy S. Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Yes! I feel completely unprepared sometimes! The undergrad classes seemed hard so knowing that will multiply is head spinning.
soontobeslp2018 Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 (edited) I’m in grad school and still feel unprepared! Take some time to digest what they told you and take some time to decompress the overwhelm. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the program if you need clarification on something. Emily T. Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 I feel super overwhelmed too. I have no idea how to choose a program and how to figure out moving out of state. We have to just trust that so many students have been our positions and managed to succeed. We can do this. Rezzy S. and lasmith 2
bibliophile222 Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Yes, you guys have totally got this! It's funny, I participated in an Admitted Students day yesterday giving my first-year perspective. At the end the admitted students said that they were actually less scared about the process after they heard all of our perspectives. Do you have any emails of current students? If not, ask for some! We are by and large very willing to help and share, and we are proof that although you may be overworked, stuffed with knowledge, flooded with debt, and feel like you have NO idea what you're doing... YOU'VE. GOT. THIS. ? samiamslp and Emily T. 2
