I heard it is unprofessional not to respond to emails or to thank faculty after your visits. The I-O community is small. But if you have decided on a program, do you let other schools know what program you have chosen?

Has anyone heard back from schools in regards to decision timelines during the virus outbreak? I don't really want to reach out when they have more important things going on right now.

I would definitely let them know. My advisors recommended it, so I contacted the other programs when I chose the program I was going to attend. They all emailed back thanking me for letting them know. Like you said, it's a small field!

I also put a little sentence at the bottom saying I was looking forward to seeing more of their work, or seeing them at SIOP, or something along those lines, so that I wasn't fully shutting the door on the ones I had gotten to know through the interview/decision process. They all research the topic I hope to research, so I wanted to keep those connections.

Does anyone know if everyone that is accepted to a program is nominated for an additional fellowship or just a select few?

Pretty sure it's just a few, though I'm sure the number of students nominated varies depending on the school and the fellowship.
