Interdisciplinary Programs?

Recommended Posts

I'm interested in the Modern Thought and Literature program at Stanford and am wondering if there are other, similar interdisciplinary programs at other universities? With a strong Literature focus but lots of room to branch into cognitive science, history, law, or any other direction on a highly individualized basis.

Check out Duke's Literature program. It was my top choice as somebody wanting to do a grad program in Comparative Literature but wasn't quite up to most programs' language requirements (you do still need proficiency in two languages other than English-- one upon admission with a clear plan for acquisition of a second during your studies. Better than two upon admission with plans for a third for a lot of comp lit programs).
