MadisonMachelle Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Do you know if COVID-19 is going to affect the timeline for acceptances to be sent out? Theoretically if schools are shut down, professors/admin can't really work on admissions decisions right?
squirrel_threats Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 I'm in Washington state where all colleges have moved online. It is not affecting timelines with any of the schools here at all. I applied to all 4 in-state SLP programs and already heard back from all 4. MadisonMachelle 1
estel Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 As far as I know, the universities aren’t completely shut down. Classes are moved remotely, and at some schools faculty and staff are encouraged not to come in, but those faculty and staff are working remotely. So it might delay things slightly just because of the adjustment to remote work, but I don’t expect it to cause too much of a disruption. I’ve heard back from all of my schools!
futurespeechpath1 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 I think it'll cause a delay but at least at what I've heard faulty and staff can come in or do work remotely.
izzooo Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Wondering if maybe this will extend the deadline for final decisions?
Caitzilla Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Faculty and staff are still required to report and work. Only students have been moved online--asked not to come to campus. I'm a student but also a staff member at the University and go to school for work each day.
