Anybody hear from GPPI yet? Looking at results over the past couple years, it looks like people normally start receiving preliminary acceptance emails around this time. Actually, we're a few days past when folks found out in 2009 and 2010. Any idea what the hold up might be?

Haven't heard anything yet, though I'm hopeful to hear in the next week or two. Submitted application Jan 14.

Just got the email! It's a preliminary admit letter saying that GPPI will "recommend" my admission to the graduate school and that I'll receive an official admit letter soon. Sounds like the same thing they've done in previous years. Hurray! Check your inbox!!

OMG I haven't heard anything! No email! I'm going to stab myself!

JK :D ahhhhhhhh

Fortunately, my admittance to my first school has assuaged my anxiety over these applications so I can remain cool despite the delays... but I still do check the forums/email every half hour.

<minute passes>

OMG WHERE"S THAT GPPI EMAIL!?

Any thoughts on if everyone is asked to submit a scholarship statement? Has anyone been given money outright?

Just got my email from GPPI!

Need some guidance on the scholarship statement.....one page single or double spaced?

Good luck to everyone else!

I think single. Does anyone know if everyone is asked to submit a scholarship statement?

Congratulations. :)

For those who got into GPPI (and those who have been asked to submit a scholarship statement) would you mind sharing your stats? I'm still in the waiting game....

I was just accepted today but no scholarship letter request...

GRE: V: 680 Q: 6...20? i think? that was a while ago!

applying straight from undergrad- expected 3.9, majoring communication studies, political science, minoring economics

i think my resume had more to do with it- white house intern, senate intern, senate campaign, house intern. and i also went for an informal interview and visit.

Hmm.. Also in the waiting game :)

edit: I applied later kind of. My application had some parts marked as not received but what submitted ~1/14. It was marked complete after about two weeks when I called them to follow up.....

To all you lucky people that have heard from GPPI, can I ask when you submitted your applications? Thanks!

I submitted my application on 1/6/11 and heard back on 2/8/11.

I just got an email for acceptance. =)

I submitted my app on 1/15, but I had an incomplete status until last Wednesay because my GRE score was lost somewhere in the system. I called and the issue was handled right there on the phone. The person I spoke with told me that the admissions committee was going to meet that Friday; they're supposed to meet throughout the month as well so decisions will be sent out after each meeting session I suppose.

Good luck to all of you!

I applied Jan 18 and I'm still waiting to hear back. I'm a little worried, actually... so many people seem to have heard.

And the weekend is coming up. I hate the weekend. Two extra days to twiddle my thumbs....

I received my "recommended" email on 16 Feb ( applied 18 Jan). Similar to what other's have posted. It had information about need based aid, etc will be sent via mail in the next few weeks. It included information about Open houses but nothing about scholarship.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>Does that mean i am not eligible for scholarship?

I am ecstatic! but I am an international student and surely will not be able to pay for it, without aid and scholarship..

Hmm, did everybody else's email say "the GPPI Dean of Admissions will notify you the week of February 14th by e-mail as to the Scholarship Committee’s decision?" Either they're working late on a holiday weekend or they're not making that deadline. Darn.

Mine didn't say anything like that. It didn't even mention anything about scholarship.
