Watching my gmail inbox tab...waiting for the rejection email

So acceptances went out for my top program two weeks ago; just saw someone get rejected on the board. Gearing up for the rejection email now. I just don't understand why the school tells you it's still under review when clearly my application package is being used as a makeshift coffee cup holder, with my name and credentials smeared out by coffee stains. Oh joy. Sorry to be a downer, but I've had enough of this. Too bad I also applied for a Canadian University, the torture won't end until June 1st.

have you tried contacting (both) the graduate program, faculty and your POI? I did and that was somewhat helpful, even though I didn't get any good news.

i know exactly how you feel. the last program that Im waiting to hear news from sent out acceptances a while ago. A few days ago I saw that an American student received his/her rejection in the mail. So I KNOW I'm going to get my rejection by mail, which is going to take forever if I ever get it at all (I get about 50% of actual mail sent to me). I just want to call them & tell them to save the postage.
