psychicoctopus Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Got into the international affairs program. Thats good news, and hopefully more will be forthcoming from other schools.
abraxas Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Got into International Affairs! Waiting for funding info though. I was surprised since I talked about my info to the admit counselor last year and was told I didn't have a good chance of getting in at all.
kapture Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 In for International Development Studies too! I'm also in for international development studies! Go us! think different and charlotte_asia 1 1
macmc Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I'm in too! MA Global Communication. Cheers! I'm in for the same program! Tell me, what do you hope to do with your life that relates to Global Communication? I'm curious as to the goals of my peers!
FluffMeister Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Woo hoo, I got in! I'm kind of annoyed that the Admitted Student Open House is on April 15 though. Don't they know that decisions will be due for most schools by then? It's almost as if they DON'T want to make a good impression or something...
Fong Sai Yuk Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I am also in for the MA in International Affairs (yayy) .. Now let's wait those funding decisions.....

acuvue09 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Hey (I hope I'm doing this reply/quote thing right). In the future, I'm hoping to work with international exchange programs (students, researchers, teachers, athletes, etc.) or cross-cultural training programs. The long-term dream job is doing IR work for the US Olympic Committee. What about you?? I'm in for the same program! Tell me, what do you hope to do with your life that relates to Global Communication? I'm curious as to the goals of my peers!

The long-term dream job is doing IR work for the US Olympic Committee. What about you?? Hey, that's pretty neat! Well, in all honesty, my dream job is domestic--I'd like to be a major advisor/consultant on a presidential campaign and work in the communications department of the White House. In the meantime, however, I'd like to work for as an analyst for the Company or the State department when it comes to public sector, or for a political consulting/advertising firm in the private.
bblucy Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I also made it for Asian Studies! Woohoo! I'm in for Asian Studies as well!

newba1ance Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 25k, over 2 years too. better than a poke in the eye, rather surprised frankly.
Fong Sai Yuk Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I got 15K over two years .. it still keeps the costs very high, but still an incentive to go there!
FluffMeister Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I got zero from them. That makes my decision easier! You don't win friends with salad, GW.
