Not the most reliable source but I saw on USC Price's twitter that someone thanked them for admission. Not sure what program though bout that was around the 10th of February.

I totally saw that too! There was someone else who got in on the 13th who tweeted at them..he got full tuition.

Also I didnt receive any notice about finanical aid additional info - what exactly was the notice in regard to?? I'm kinda freaking out now..

Dear Rexbocker828,

Thank you for your application for 2012-2013 financial aid. At this time, additional information is required to process your application. If you recently submitted this information, and/or if the document status in your Financial Aid account is "Pending," please ignore this message. Your document has been received and will be reviewed as soon as possible.

So that we can accurately determine your eligibility for need-based aid, please please submit the following as soon as possible:

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS, PLEASE NOTE: This notice is not an indicator of an admission decision. Financial aid information is gathered and reviewed for all financial aid applicants, regardless of admission status.

Then there's a link to a supplemental form that asks about number of credits and housing. Don't freak out! I think it's probably just because I marked off somewhere that I would apply for aid. I read on here that one school sends out funding information to all applicants (including those that are rejected).

This whole process is giving me ulcers!!

I got this one on 26th Jan:

Thank you for submitting an application for the Master of Public Administration at the University of Southern California. Your application is lacking the following:

Financial support information. Details about what is needed can be found here: http://www.usc.edu/a...ialsupport.html

If the information requested has already been sent, we thank you in advance and you will receive a notification email when all the materials for your application have been received.

If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Recruitment and Admissions at (213) 740-0550 or email Sarah Esquivel at sesquive@usc.edu.

Please note: The USC Office of Graduate Admissions may contact you directly if additional information is required for the evaluation of your transcripts or application.

Sincerely,

USC Price Admissions

No financial aid for me as foreign but I was kind of in my dream world thinking, oh they wouldn't need my financial support documents if I didn't get in BUT I get the impression they're one of the schools that want all the supplemental stuff before releasing decisions. It's so frustrating, I want to get in there so badly!!!

I got the same email from USC, as Helplease123. Asking me to send in my financial aid forms.

Someone already got admission with full tuition? Damn.

I don't follow them on Twitter so I wouldn't know, but I thought they wouldn't be making decisions before March?

@Helpplease123 - You are eligible for USC financial aid in form of tuition scholarships even if you're foreign. I'm an international student too, and we're not eligible for US federal aid, but we can hope to receive some tuition scholarships :)

I've looked through this forum and the survey page and some decisions were made around this time last year. On thegradcafe survey page someone posted acceptance to their MPP program on 2/15. They probably do it in waves. All of the people that applied before the merit scholarship deadline first and so on. Good luck all!!

I suppose you're right. I will try to give it another 2-3 weeks before officially freaking out. I applied before the merit deadline so its particularly frustrating reading people are getting in (with full tution no less). Best of luck everyone! Please post when you get in so I can vicariously live through you while I wait!

Ah yeah, I misunderstood what was being talked about in terms of financial aid - thought it was the federal aid being discussed. Now i'm sad I didn't get that letter too!... I just want to get innnnn damnit and worry about how to pay later haha I applied on Dec 15th.

Hello! I just received an admission letter and welcome packet from USC's Office of Graduate Admissions (admitted to MPA program). If they didn't include any fellowship award information, does that mean I wasn't recommended for any? If anyone reading this receives financial/fellowship info, please keep me posted - either here or by PM. I would love to go to this program but the $$ is a real factor/potential deterrent. Thanks!

Congrats!!! Are you based nearby? Do they post decisions for international applicants too?! Also, did your status change on the website...mine still hasn't progressed past first stage according to the site...

Thanks! I'm in northern CA, so yes, relatively close. My status hasn't changed online. The application still says "submitted".

This complimentary event will offer a great opportunity to meet current Price School MPA and MPP students, newly admitted students for the upcoming year, and to network with other Bay area alumni.

5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Where:

Courtyard Marriott Hotel

299 Second Street

San Francisco, CA 94105

Gosh! if people have already started hearing back then I guess we should be hearing anytime soon, I submitted my app on the 14th of Dec, but I live abroad, so the mail might take an extra week or something to reach me. damn it.

On another note, I heard from my 2nd choice this morning. Cornell's MPA. They waitlisted me :S

Hi all, this is my first post after lurking around here for a while- figured I'd share what info I had: I was accepted to SPEA's MPA on December 2nd and then USC's MPP today. I'm still waiting on the usual (WWS, HKS, etc.) but definitely excited with how it's been going. No word on funding yet either way from either of them though. Also, thank you to everyone who's been posting all along.

Darlindukkie: I called Price this afternoon and they said that there's a separate letter coming specifically from them (as opposed to the one we both just got from the larger Grad School) that outlines the financial aid awards. The admissions officer told me that it should come within the next few days.

Chunti: In case it helps, I submitted all of my apps in late November and my GRE scores were: V- 94% Q- 82% AW- 82%

Inquisitive87 - thank you for sharing! It's helpful to know that I'll receive the financial info separately.

Well that's pretty scary! Well done everyone!! I am in the UK and it takes ages for mail to get here from the US...hope I don't have to wait too long! As of today my application page says it's being reviewed by the admissions committee rather than being in the first stage of the application process

My USC app now says...

You will receive notification of your admission decision soon via postal mail. Please note that the Office of Admissions provides final decision notifications by letter only. We do not disclose admission decisions via e-mail, telephone, or any other means.

Why was it only under review for a day?! That makes me nervous, it definitely wasn't good enough for a speedy accept so can only assume it was an obvious rejection :(

Well if your status doesn't say that a decision is in the post, means there probably isn't a decision yet - so wouldn't worry about not being able to log in. Could be they're figuring out your funding still and it's a good thing! What happened when you tried to log in?
