Heard back from MIT! Accepted :)

The email was mainly an invitation to visit them. No words on fellowships etc.

I'm in area II at CSAIL.

I applied for M.S + Ph.D programme..

International Applicant

CGPA :3.59/4 from a ordinary college...

IELTS : 8 out of 9

IEEE Student chairman of the college

presented in two international IEEE conferences and both of them published in IEEE Xplore.

had a lot of passion to research and get seat in MIT...alas....

I got no email. Guess it's a rejection then !! Congrats to all the admits...rock on !!

I got into EECS area II. Although I think there was definitely more than three. I am pretty sure they told most people who applied area II...

I would not worry so much yet. Good luck!!

Anyone in Area VII got news?

Been nerve wrecking this whole week...

Does it mean rejection if I dont receive email in the next 10 minutes (5pm in boston)...?

@dblsr I think there is even something worse than rejection >>> waitlisitng. Imagine hanging like that for another couple of months :wacko:

apparently chances for getting accepted after being waitlisted are 1 in 25...unless i've heard wrong
