Summer Plans?

I applied for a DAAD grant to study abroad in Leipzig, Germany for two months this summer.  However, it's extremely unlikely that I'll win that grant...so I plant to spend my summer moving to my new PhD program (almost definitely UNC), doing some recreational (but still historical) reading so I don't make a fool of myself at said new PhD program, and maybe checking out a bit more of the American South.

 

I'll need a good break after this hectic application process and writing/defending my thesis this semester!

Hopefully doing research at UCLA (not one of the schools I applied to) and saving money to move across the country.

Quitting my horrid after school job, getting married to my wonderful boyfriend, and starting a summer research program at my PhD insitution.

Telling my job goodbye. .Plan on moving to my new city in May, getting everything situated. Then going on some vacation towards the end of May, and then starting a summer rotation in June/July!

Planning on getting married (*fist pump*), taking a honeymoon, getting a certification as a Lactation Educator, and maybe taking on a doula client or two.  Oh, and finding a Reproductive Endo. that can finally get us PREGNANT.

Working and possibly taking a road trip to see Teddy Roosevelt National Park.

Pack, Transition out of my job, pack, take my daughter to her undergrad choice, pack, find housing in new area, pack, take road trip up the east cost making visits along the way, unpack!
