Wanna take bets on which schools will notify to-morrow? I have a feeling Maryland might be one of them. Last year, they began notifying on Valentine's.

Eek.

I definitely think Maryland will be notifying Thursday, Friday, or Monday. This seems to be right around the time when they usually do, and it's a big one for me. Maryland and Rice are my top choices right now, and both could be going off the board within the week. Fingers crossed for some good news tomorrow!

I plan on keeping myself drugged with chocolate tomorrow.  :P

My drug of choice will be seven pages on Identity in the Hobbit. Woot.

from what i've seen, a bunch of results from my top pick will start coming out tomorrow... it's nerve-wracking.

Michigan... Brown... Maryland... (a continuation of) Minnesota.

Over half of my list.  Worse than wholesale rejection may be continued radio silence.

Over the next two days, we'll hear news from Harvard and Rutgers. Duke will also finish their rejections.

I feel like after this weekend, Rutgers, Maryland, and a new wave of Berkeley rejections and acceptances will be upon us.

My money is on Maryland tomorrow.

I'm anxious to hear from Maryland and UNC, both of which seem likely over the next few days... The Heels fought hard but lost to Dook last night. I'm hoping to come up with a big fat W from the adcomm. That would no doubt make the Tar Heel loss last night slightly more bearable.

Shit y'all, you're freaking me out! Michigan, Brown, Rutgers, and UNC are all on my list. I cannot handle getting that many rejections so quickly after a week of anxious silence.

Also still waiting to hear from Wisconsin-Madison, so I'd love to get some news from them. I don't care as much about getting the official Duke rejection, but even that would be nice to know.

Anyway, I think Michigan seems the most likely of the ones mentioned so far.

My bet is that the rest of this week will be fairly quiet (at least from the schools I'm waiting on, which is a fair amount!) and next week will be craaaazy.

LOL, I think we might have thought that last week, too. But hey, whatever keeps morale high, right?

Add CUNY to the list--just got my rejection, and it looks like there are two others that just went up since I posted mine.

EDIT: And a third WHILE I was writing the post! Jeez.

I'm serious! Next week will be the 17-23, which qualifies as late February. Unless programs plan on having visit days in April, they'll need to really notify that week (or of course the next...) in order to finalize flight plans and travel schedules etc.

Minus the fallen at CUNY (condolences), this day has not been nearly as brutal as I anticipated. It's still early though, plenty of time for more broken hearts.

I'm going to guess Michigan is NOT notifying today. May I be (once again) wrong about them.

I totally agree, the next two weeks will be crazy.

Looks like Colorado is sending out rejections... who could've guessed?!

I'm curious about Colorado. It seems that there have been both rejections and acceptances sent out, but I applied to their PhD program (already have a MA) and have not received anything. Could we get more tomorrow? I see you applied there--did you get anything today?

In other news, I got an offer from Case today! I did my MA there, and I really do love the program. For anyone else who received offers from Case, do not underestimate based on the US News ranking. They have done very well with placement, they invest a tremendous amount of time and energy into their students, and it's an incredibly collegial and supportive environment--with faculty and fellow students alike. Depending on where else I get in (if I get in anywhere else), I may strongly consider returning to Case over a few other more highly rated programs because it really is a wonderful department.
