For one I misspelled cornell once (as cornel) and left out a couple words in a sentence ... Also used "interested" instead of interesting research. Just little things here and there until I misspelled one of the persons names I am interested in haha. I accidentally sent in an unedited final instead of the edited one. I suppose it worked out though in the end, that should calm some nerves of people who notice mistakes after sending in their apps

Haha I accidentally called Johns Hopkins "John Hopkins" in my essay. I knew that it's Johns and not John, but I just messed up. I'm afraid that that's the reason why I haven't gotten an invite yet. But I'm sure that happens to them all the time

I don't have classes on Friday and my Thursday classes end really early, so I'm not worries about that.

Two of my invites have been Sunday - Wednesday, so that wont solve all of your problems.  Just an fyi...

All my interviews except one have been Thurs-Sat and missing one or two classes won't be a problem. My professors would understand.

I also just got an invite from BCM. I applied to SCBMB and was contacted directly by the department.

UW - Wisconsin Madison almost gave me a heart attack. They congratulated me on having my application being finished and submitted 2 weeks later!

I wonder if they'll send out another batch ): that's one of my top choices!

^ ^ haha same here. I just saw CMB at UW-Madison and my eyes popped. Here's what they sent:

 

"Thank you for applying to the Cellular and Molecular Biology (CMB) Graduate Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for Fall 2014.

Your CMB application file is now complete and will be reviewed by the CMB Admissions Committee.  Please keep in mind that our Admissions Committee is reviewing over 400 applications for consideration.  You can expect to receive an official admissions decision via the online status check system by the end of January 2014."

Same here! I saw an email from UW and freaked out for a solid 5 minutes until the rest of the email loaded on my phone. Then I just had a nice laugh and opened a beer.

Got the same; I noticed that we will be receiving roommates during our stay. That's the first invite I've gotten that's said that! Which weekend did you choose? I'll be going 2/6 - 2/8.
