Cking86 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I applied to 12 programs. Oy. I just closed my eyes and clicked "send". Paying no attention to my debit/credit card bill. Welp.
Socrates1 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Well over a thousand dollars. I haven't added it up because I know I'll just feel nauseated by the damage to my savings.
sarab Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 $185 GRE $355 application (4 universities) =540 Â One of my universities gives out free transcripts, and the other one allows for 5 free ones. I didn't have to pay for additional GRE reports, so that was all. I really couldn't have afforded to pay more than that!
ihatepencils Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Oh jeez...I don't even want to sum it up. I applied to 13 schools, took the regular GRE once, and my subject GRE exam twice. Add sending scores...transcripts...good thing most of my applications did not need physical transcripts.Â
scottdickson86 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 GRE: $185 x 2 - $370 Test rescheduling: $50 x 2 - $100Test prep: $ 400App fees: $70Total: $ 940 Hadn't calculated it before. Applying to grad school is expensive! And all of this to apply to ONE university.  Same here! One university. I'm so anxious.Â
maiwalker Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 GRE - 185 TOEFL - 190 School App Fees (4 schools) - 300 Transcripts - 60 735 USD (which converts to 31605 pesos - close to a month's salary! :s
Lifesaver Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Well over a thousand dollars. I haven't added it up because I know I'll just feel nauseated by the damage to my savings. Â This. So much this.
catsandscarves Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) about $2000 to apply to 17 schools with all the GRE scores/transcripts/fees. I don't know the exact amount for the same reason as above.. I didn't total it ha Edited February 6, 2014 by catsandscarves
CocoChanell_no5 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 $350 in application fees $200 for the GRE $800 in GRE Prep $25 for an extra GRE score to be sent to a school I got rejected from   So a whopping $1,375 that I had no help in paying for (yay financial responsibility...not). That's over a single paycheck for me sadly :/ And if I don't get in this year, that's just a ton of money I might as well have thrown into a bonfire
GeographyOSU Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 $75 for the application fee $20 for an MAT prep book $85 for the MAT test itself So about $180 bucks, which isn't bad, but still, way pricier than the $20 I paid for my undergrad app.
justinmcummings Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 11 applications avg $75 Gre $200 Gre extra scores $25 x 7 Gre prep $500 Official Transcripts School 1 $20 x 7 Official Transcripts School 2 $12 x 7 Unofficial transcripts weren't accepted for some apps I'm sure there is something I'm forgetting, but approximate total is $1924.. so $2000 give or take $100
