ucdguy88 Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Congrats on the acceptance! Are you excited about the offer?? I just accepted an offer at my top choice masters program, and I'm stoked. I am very excited! Since my focus is in neuroscience, I can't wait to actually take courses in neuroanatomy, neuropharmacology and neurogenetics. Me too! Accepted by my top choice. Now waiting to hear back from SJSU and SFSU. Its too hard waiting now that I have offer from my top choice. Do you have any idea about San Francisco and San Jose state university? Are they good? I know SFSU is really good and competitive. Where did you get in? I'm waiting on CSU San Marcos. Congrats on the acceptance!!

Are u excited about moving to east coast? I got into SDSU, health psychology focus. My POI from San Marcos is out of country and she will interview me after 23rd March. But I guess I am going to go with SDSU. I am guessing it is better than CSU schools. Is SFSU better than SDSU?
ucdguy88 Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 I'm nervous to be honest! I really wanted to go to San Marcos.. who's your POI, I'm wondering if we have the same one. SDSU and SFSU are the same par i believe. It really depends on your focus
whamcrushington Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I got accepted to W&M MA program last Tuesday via phone. Waiting on Wake Forest now. Has anybody else heard back from Wake? I turned that app in so long ago and W&M only took two weeks to get back to me. I'm guessing there are others who've heard back from Wake?

Good luck!
ucdguy88 Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 Completely Different then! Good luck to you as well
Elanti Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) Ugh, dying to hear back from CSUSB and SJSU. San Bernardino usually takes awhile with their acceptances, if the previous years GradCafe search results mean anything. I'm I/O though, and the deadline was March 1st, so I still have awhile. Hey, Do they have interviews? I haven't heard anything from them either. Does SJSU offer funding?
Elanti Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I don't believe they do interviews for the MS program, though I could be wrong. As to funding, I'm not sure- I'm sure you'll find out more if you get accepted. I'm not getting my hopes up for funding for a MS program though.
inatcup Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Hey guys, Does anyone have any information about University of San Francisco's MFT program or CSPP's MFT program? I've been accepted to both and am still waiting to hear from SFSU (my top choice). But am trying to figure out a backup plan.
Elanti Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 To anyone wondering about CSUSB's admission process I called today and they said they were still in review and notifications about their decision would likely be through email since it's so late, but they could come through USPS. HermoineG 1
Spartans_yellow Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 New here. But curious if anyone else has attended a group interview at APU (azusa pacific university, in Cali) ? Or what advice others can offer on group interviews they may have had for other MA /MFT programs recently (2014 season). Any info or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Not sure how the interview works with a group and it's 5 hours long? Hmm. Thank you much. Spartans_yellow 1

Hey Elanti, Is CSUSB really good? I have applied but I dont know much about their program. I already have an admit from SDSU and it seems like a good program. I want to say yes to SDSU but I am not sure if CSUSB is worth waiting for. Please let me know if you have any information on CSUSB. Thanks!

Thanks! I think it's a pretty good program. I mean, they have an internship and a thesis requirement. Additionally, the research being done by one of the professors matches my own. I don't know what other colleges would think of it when it comes to applying to PhDs, but I chose it because of how it matches my own interests. If you can wait without losing funding or your spot, I would. There's no harm in waiting and you can take the time to make a well informed decision. You spent plenty of money applying, so don't jump the gun! Take time to talk to grad students and professors in both programs FeelGoodDoGood 1

I haven't received a financial package yet, but hopefully, they will give me a decent offer so I can go. I only have one other program I am waiting to hear from and I have been waitlisted there.
