Congratulations! If you don't mind me asking when was the deadline to accept for you?

Hey NAMPH-er,

The deadline was 27th of April. I waited till the last day lol!

This was their first round of acceptances from Guelph so I am guessing the second round will be going out soon.

i live in Guelph and i always hear positive feedback about the program.the university has a nice laid back atmosphere and Guelph is absolutely beautiful,i think you made a great decision.i will apply for the program by next fall.

if you need any help about Guelph, feel free to contact me.

Hey mph201516,

Thanks for this feedback. I've always lived in big cities toronto/Montreal so this is going to be my first experience with a small city. But I'm definitely looking forward to the peace of small town. If any help needed when moving I'll contact you for sure!:)

Was just offered admission to U of T MPH in Epidemiology! Hopefully some others will be receiving good news today as well :)

Opinions please! I've gotten into both USASK and UVIC (social policy specialization). Can someone help compare the two programs for me? In terms of reputation/internships/courses. Right now it's a tough decision, but I'm leaning towards UVIC because it's only 2 years (when USASK would take 3). Thanks in advance!

Hey, congrats! I'm just wondering if you heard through phone or email? Also, was it a generic email or did they refer to you specifically?

Thanks! Yes, I was emailed. They referred to me specifically and attached an official letter of offer as a pdf.

Is anyone who got into the UofT epi program willing to share some of their stats by any chance? Maybe by PM if not publicly on here?

I did not receive an acceptance letter and am wondering where I would need to improve to get in. I managed to get into every other program so far and it's just a terrible feeling not getting into my top choice :(.

Has anyone heard from UofA Epi? Last I heard, they would be sending out notices by the end of April...

Last message I got from them was that results will by the end of April. Nothing after that. I applied to Ms in Health Promotion

I think most people who applied to U of T epi should still be receiving a letter in the mail. The letter of offer I received over email was dated for April 27th and appeared to be a printed letter that had been scanned - I'm guessing I got this because my school address recently expired (I moved back home for the summer). If you haven't heard back yet you should expect news any day now!

If you don't get in I would be happy to share my stats :)

Just wondering, did your status on SGS change to decision made? Would also be interested in stats! Fingers crossed the acceptances are still rolling out :)

I accepted my U Guelph MPH offer of admission yesterday!! Any one who did the same? Waitlisted for MacU. But I'll go with Guelph program. You think I made a good decision?

Hey charliemarlie,

I JUST did the same! I went to visit the school last summer and the campus is beautiful. I don't know much about the program itself but I haven't heard any negative comments about it either. Looks like we will be classmates in the fall!

Hey guys!  I also go to Guelph and just graduated, and now I am working here for the summer.. I have had an absolutely amazing experience here through my undergrad and would recommend it to anyone :) I was thinking about accepting the MPH offer for Guelph too.. but I figure it is time to go explore somewhere else.  Please PM me if you have any questions!

Congratulations everyone!

A bit off topic, but does anyone know of a website/facebook page for international students going to Canada? I have some very basic questions to ask and I'd love some advice.

If any of you happen to know the answer to these two particular question, please advise. If you'd rather PM me, that's fine.

I'm from a very warm area and will be moving up to Edmonton for my MPH. So, any particular vegan coats or jackets to recommend me to buy? My mother insists I'll need down up there, but I'd rather not support the down industry if possible. Any brand of boots to recommend?

I'll try my best not to be that wimpy foreigner always complaining about the cold, but I think some good clothing might help me out. =)

Hey guys!

I have been following this forum for a while and have found it very helpful.. I wanted to let everyone know I received an acceptance to UofT's MPH program in Epidemiology today!!! I was feeling nervous because I know a few people found out yesterday that they were accepted - so for those of you waiting do not lose hope yet! Also for those of you waiting for Guelph's MPH program, I will be declining my offer! Goodluck to everyone!

Hi all,

I'm a bit late to this! I have applied to to U of T and Waterloo for an MPH - I haven't heard anything back from U of T (Health Promotion). Waterloo asked for a bunch of additional information and we had to go back and forth for a long while on what they needed and format. My last email said that my application has been submitted to the Graduate Studies Office - does that mean anything? I am trying to make decisions (as I have only applied to other programs) and the wait on the MPH programs is killing me!

Hi mph2015,

I got an acceptance from UofA Epi in the beginning of April, and I actually declined the offer so hopefully they will send out more acceptances soon! Goodluck!
