mxr123930 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I'm currently applying for SLPA positions but I am also trying to find other jobs to apply to. What other positions can i apply that are relatable?
jmk Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 ABA/other umbrella early interventions. Newborn hearing screener. 1:1 aide for child with disabilities (at least in the Bay Area, some contract companies that specialize in serving families like that). 1:1 aide for an adult with disabilities.

HopefulFutureSLP2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) How does one become certified as an SLP assistant? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm rather confused by the process..you see, I live in Pennsylvania and unfortunately SLPAs are not legal here. I am willing to move anywhere in the NE to become certified and practice as an SLPA for a few years before becoming a certified SLP. I have my BS in Communication Disorders from a PA state school. Crimson Wife Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I have heard that MA has fairly easy requirements for SLPA licensing. Scroll down to #5 here: http://www.mass.gov/ocabr/licensee/dpl-boards/sp/regulations/rules-and-regs/260-cmr-200.html
