Hey, so I was sent an email from the head of sociolinguistics at Georgetown saying I had been recommended to the Dean of Graduate School for admission. Do students ever not get admitted after this step? Or does that mean I'm in?

It happens, but it's extremely rare. Barring very unlikely scenarios, you're in -- congrats!

I was accepted in Georgetown and Indiana University in PhD Spanish linguistics, I don't know what to choose. Any advise?
