cmykrgb Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 guys, I am getting sick and my interview is in 2 weeks. Anyone has a fast way to combat this?
GunningForGrad Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Drink hot honey lemon water, increase vitamins and supplements (coconut oil, echinacea, vitamin C and garlic are all good ones). Two weeks is plenty of time to bounce back. But if you feel like crud the day before (or the day before you leave if travel is involved) go to the doctor and puppy dog eye them into giving you a steroid shot. Also sleep. redikulus Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Do nothing. Colds don't last that long. Or do lots of things and get better in the same amount of time and then blame your "cure" on all the crap you took, like a normal person. Either way, you should be fine.
Gadgette Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 I'm in the same boat! So today I am hanging out on the couch, getting plenty of fluids and vitamins, and resting.
BlueNahlchee Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Drinking hot tea every day helps me a lot. I've been able to combat colds within a week or a week and a half by doing this. And as others have suggested, drink plenty of water too.
stereopticons Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Feel better! I got sick in the middle of my interview travels. Honestly, inevitable because of the perfect storm of plane germs, drastic temperature changes, and stress, but it still sucks. I've been struggling through my interviews as best as possible. Two weeks should be plenty of time to feel better, though!
cmykrgb Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 wow guys, you are so helpful! thanks a lot! @GunningForGrad I started hot honey lemon water treatment yesterday. So far it hasn't got worse but my throat is still itchy, so I am not sure if it's working or it's prolonging the process.
GunningForGrad Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Hot honey lemon water is a natural detox and energizer. It will work- unless you have a citrus allergy of some sort.
