netflixnchili Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Did anyone apply for early admittance and get a funding package? Did you get a notification?
saranyc234 Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 In for MPA Econ track ... no funding but applied after the Jan 7 deadline
Merantau Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 (edited) I got in too. Funding info will come later. I wish everyone the best! Edited March 10, 2017 by Merantau to make it more relevant
Merantau Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 (edited) Did it specifically say that there's no funding, or that funding decision will come soon? Edited March 10, 2017 by Merantau missed a word Katekm 1
Palolem Posted March 10, 2017 Author Posted March 10, 2017 Got in! But, I can't see any second link for funding! Katekm 1

FernandoHM Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Got in too, but no funding. In the resources tab of the Admitted Students Portal it says that it was going to come in your admittance letter, so probably no funding
ArellaV Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 In for the MIA program with $50K funding!! Student007, Katekm and MPPhomes 3
ArellaV Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Does anyone know if results for the International Fellows Program are out? Katekm 1

YunaCamel Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 (edited) Got in but looks like there's no funding! Also in at Johns Hopkins SAIS with a 24k funding and Tufts Fletcher with a 20k funding and Georgetown with no funding so most likely leaning towards SAIS Edited March 10, 2017 by YunaCamel Student007 1
cbx2v Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Accepted but with no funding... oh well, I have good offers from other schools.
sleeplesswithcoffee Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Accepted with 0 funding for MIA but still the school under consideration. Looking back at previous years' threads about SIPA, there's quite a lof of controversy over faculty-student interaction and career outcomes for MIA/MPA graduates. My look at the employment stats suggest that outcomes are pretty good (lots of internationals mean that a lot of outcomes involve people going back to home countries to work for their own governments) but wanted to know if there are any current SIPA students (lurkers? :P) or alum who can talk about both of these factors and any other significant positives and negatives in the program

You've got really great choices there! Also, I'm guessing you're a Yuna Kim fan from your ID, so extra congrats to you because I'm a fan, too. Hahaha!
YunaCamel Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) @Student007 ahhh omfg im really a mad frigging hugeeeeeee fan of Kim yuna and my nickname is definitely the name of the figure skating spin invented by her if u can guess that already ahhhhh I love her !! (But im not a lez i have a bf right now) anyway sais or gtown will be the most ideal choice for me in terms of my career goal but I really wished I had got some funding from sipa as well just in case it's NYC locations and ivy league name are indeed huge appeals to me ahaha Edited March 11, 2017 by YunaCamel Student007 1

Regarding the funding, you received additional funding notice I guess? Mine showed only acceptance letter, so probably I did not get any funding..
HisGrace Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Would realllyyyyy love to attend SIPA but I also applied after the fellowship consideration deadline. USC Sol Price offered half tuition
HisGrace Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Is SIPA ever worth full tuition?? Im meeting with a current student in a few days, and he didn't receive funding Katekm 1
