How much is this "deposit"?

How much is the deposit everyone talks about to ensure your spot in grad school?

This varies school by school.

At La Salle: $500
At Washington: $250
At Idaho State: $200

Also some schools don't have them. It varies greatly. You shouldn't have to pay a deposit before the April 15th deadline to accept.

$0 at my school. It's going to just depend on school policy.

Depends on the school. The school I'm at had a $500 deposit, but another one I got accepted to was only $100. The good news is that it ends up going towards your tuition, assuming you don't withdraw your acceptance.

Like everyone has said it varies. For one of my schools it was $300 and the other it was $500 but like everyone said it is applied towards tuition so at least its not pointless!
