  1. I completed Duke's MA in religion if anyone wants to message me. It was a good experience overall. I'll be happy to give more details.
  2. @sarastoked--thanks for replying about UCSB! I've applied to Religions in North America. Saw that someone was accepted without funding. That was not me. I haven't heard.
  3. Thanks rjsmith, suzzzanna, and fanon for your responses. Interesting news--makes me think that there were quite a few people who got this same message! I'm hoping to get some answers soon. I'll definitely share anything I hear. Best of luck!
  4. Hello all, I am still waiting to hear from UCSB's program in religious studies. The only thing I've heard is that one person received notification of acceptance last week. Website says it's still under review. Did anyone else apply, hear back, or know anything? Thanks so much.
  5. Hi everyone, Congrats to all the acceptances out there. I've been hearing back from schools, and I've got a couple of questions I'm hoping to get some feedback on. I just heard back from GWU American Studies, and I'm accepted if they find funding, which they will be looking for in the next few weeks. Is this basically a wait list, or is something else going on? I've been invited to their information and recruitment weekend, and I'm wondering if these may serve as an interview? Any insight would be great. Also, I've gotten acceptances to Indiana and W&M. I'm coming from religious studies, so I'm not as familiar with the AS landscape. I just haven't seen many/any applicants for these two schools, and I'm thinking this is a bit odd. Still waiting on Maryland... Thanks a lot!
  6. Thanks for the input! Good luck with applications.
  7. Hello, everyone. Good to see you here. I am new to this site, but it seems helpful! I am currently applying to PhD programs in American Studies and Religious Studies (focusing on American religion in a global context). I am having trouble finding answers to my question about whether I should tell the schools to which other programs I am applying (only a few ask this specifically on the application). My inclination is to leave it blank, but I don't want that to hurt me. Any advice? Or what are you guys doing about it? Thanks in advance.
