Ok now that I understand whats going on, if you call any school above #40 a safety school, you are mistaken.

This statement is foolish, its called weighing the pros and the cons, noticing your strengths and weaknesses and being able to make an objective decision based on the facts that you have gathered on whether you stand a plausible chance of gaining acceptance. = Safety

My profs said the same thing, they said at worst..go to a phd program, leave with a MA and transfer...you just got a free MA. lol

And those numbers on that file is exactly why I didnt bother applying to any of them...any school that has more than 100 applicants for 10-20 spots is a shot in the dark statistically speaking and I know I wouldnt get picked...

I guess 1st on the waitlist for funding aint too bad

Make sure all your stuff is in.. Through sending an email..I found out a piece of my application was missing and when the committee met, I was going to get autodinged because i was supposedly told to send it, but that was never the case.

Still no funding...budget issues all round for public institutions smh
