  1. Hahahahahhaha. Umm. I just got a notice that they're shutting off my electricity!ONE MORE EPISODE!
  2. It's ok. He still killed Hitler.
  3. I need to read Game of Thrones! I have them on the bookshelf, and I started the first one, but I have a bad habit of starting books and never finishing them! I just started watching the second season though I have not watched Arrested Development, but you are the second person who's recommended it, so I'll have to look it up! I've also been meaning to watch Battlestar. I saw a funny Portlandia skit involving watching all the episodes of BSG on youtube the other day I will have to watch House of Cards, too! My BF has been trying to talk me into it. Kevin Spacey is a beast, so I don't know why I haven't yet!
  4. Omg. I'm so sorry. I didn't even think about that. But as to your other question, if we don't hear this week, maybe I will go kidnap the new pope and hold him hostage until everyone finds out!
  5. BREAKING NEWS!! WE HAVE A NEW POPE! Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina!
  6. Ahhhhh! What was it Amirah said about the warm and fuzzies?!Stop it! You're making me blush!! It's too bad some of us will never get to meet, even if we do make it. As it was pointed out to me earlier, ETA's don't go to Washington.
  7. He didn't ruin it for these cats, either! http://www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com/cgi-bin/seigmiaow.pl
  8. DANGNABIT.I've hit my positive vote limit quota for the day. Just know it's there, in spirit.
  9. Hells yes baby! First couple are on Netflix streaming; last one is only on the regular Netflix. First and foremost, Sherlock, by the BBC. It's a modern day take on the Sherlock Holmes stories. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch (say that 5 times fast) and Martin Freeman (of the UK office and more recently, The Hobbit). The relationship between the two is so delightfully hilarious! YOU MUST WATCH IT!! I will warn you, it's made up of two series of 3 episodes a piece, each episode being an hour and a half. So be prepared to be glued to your couch for a while. Doctor Who. Bear with me on this one; it's really kind of cheesy and silly, but it's so much fun and so addictive! It's created by the same people who did Sherlock, so it CAN'T be bad. It's about a time traveler who saves the world. It's been on the BBC for decades, but they brought it back in 2006 I think? So I would recommend starting with the newer episodes, and if you like those, then maybe try the older ones. Firefly. Dear god, WHY did you cancel this show Fox?! Such a bad idea. Star Trek meets John Wayne. Think Han Solo, or Cowboy Bebop if you have ever seen it. It's about a crew of bandits who travel the galaxy trying to find work and shenanigans ensue! The cast is great and it's hilarious! The West Wing. Ok, this one was on TV in the late 90s, so you may have heard of it. It follows the two terms of Democratic president Josiah (Jeb) Bartlett. It's well really written, and it's storylines draw heavilyfrom actual events of the 90s. It can be pretty serious and dramatic, but also incredibly funny. Game of Thrones. This one isn't on Netflix streaming, unfortunately, but it's well worth it. Oh man. I'm sorry, but I am all out of decriptions. I spent too much time on the others. Let me get back to you on this one. IT'S AWESOME THOUGH I SWEAR!!!
  10. If you are really that bored, I can recommend a couple of excellent TV shows that might distract you. Seems I'm making up for all the time in college I spent NOT having time to watch TV.
  11. Don't worry about it. We're all just a wee bit unhinged. We'll recover!
  12. LET'S KILL HITLER! .. look it up. Seriously, you won't be disappointed!
  13. OH MY LORD!! SOMEONE GET THE TRANQUILIZER GUN!! WE'VE GOT A LIVE ONE!!haha. Yeah, unfortunately sarcasm does not translate well via text, as I have learned through trial and mostly error. Actually, come to that, my brand of sarcasm never really translates well in any medium, so people usually don't realize I'm being facestious.
  14. LMAO. "trying to decide what we are going to be when we grow up" Love it! Not sure I will ever figure that one out, but there is still a small part of me that is holding out for Sadly, I just don't think it's meant to be.
  15. Personally, I would hope that such a group of fine, intelligent chaps and dames could handle a healthy discourse, but you are probably right.
  16. Haha, glad I could brighten your day! Warm fuzzies are always wonderful!
  17. I was just going to upvote you, but apparently I have reached my upvote quota of the day.I don't think Ruluo's statement was an attack, per se, so I don't think we really need to hold him(her? sorry)up for a public thrashing. I do, however, agree with you in that I thought it was odd to first say you weren't trying to cause an argument and then go on to do so. As far as argumentative statements go, though, I felt what he(she?) said was fairly tame. So let's not go blasting him(her).
  18. I am always astounded by your highly informative posts!! Thanks!!!
  19. Um, mine is to help my boyfriend get back to and finish school. I plan on taking over as much of our rent, utilities, and grocery bills as I can while he goes to school and works a part time job. Not very exciting but it needs to be done! I want to go back to school to get a masters in Speech Pathology, but I'd really like for him to finish his bachelors before I do that.
  20. Oh, hey, just in case anyone is still working on their contingency plan, Groupon has a deal for online bartending classes! You dont' want to pass that up!!! In all seriousness though, they have a TEOFL online course for $66, down from $200-something. I don't know if it is a reliable company, but it might be worth looking into for ETA'ers.
  21. Well, thank god we've accomplished something!
  22. I think I've given up with speculation. That doesn't mean I don't make sure to check my email and the forums at 3 and 5 :>
  23. Come on Germany, where is your reknowned efficiency??
  24. Does anyone know if there is a way to change reputation points you have given to people? I seem to have misclicked on some and I feel like a jerk :/
  25. Well, I really have to admire your dedication. I don't know if I would have the gumption to do what you are doing! It's bad enough being a Dem in Indiana, I can't imagine what it's like in Oklahoma!
