  1. Oh McGill... :-( Sorry you guys.
  2. Yep. When your decision is ready you get an email notification saying "Significant decision made" that directs you to log in to uApply to retrieve it. It's the same place where you submitted all your materials.
  3. It says it in the FAQ section...last 2years.
  4. You have an awesome outlook, Van.
  5. They say last two years, but they also look at all prereqs regardless of when they were taken from what I understand. And if I got in, it MUST be last 2 years.
  6. Tell her you're serving the Lord by using the brain that he blessed you with to further your education...wouldn't want to waste those talents.
  7. Yayyy! Congrats, Arg!!! I'm sooooo happy for you! (FYI-I'm loving the green in your signature :-) )
  8. What? You mean, all men aren't like the ones I meet? lol
  9. Statistically, I should have found a good one at random by now. Perhaps it's not my selection skills but rather something wrong with the selection pool.
  10. You may wanna do a search in the City Guide forum...there are a few good threads there about living in Montreal.
  11. I know it's hard, and totally understandable to get discouraged. All of us have been through every emotion imaginable at various times throughout this process, so we get how you feel. But that's what we're here for...to keep up the positivity when yours starts to wane. We got ya covered... .
  12. E, no more farewell/thank you speeches! Think about it...it makes sense that your app would take longer. You applied to the combined research program, so not only do they have to review your app for admission, but they also have to pair you with a research supervisor. AND you know they have to get the PhD students squared away first. You can give up if you want, but we're still hoping for the best!
  13. Don't give up, guys! I'm still not giving up hope that all of you will get accepted. And even if you don't, I will still be hoping they made a mistake and meant to accept you.
  14. "You're applying to be a doctoral student??? You're the first girl I've ever wanted to date who was smarter than me...it makes me feel very uncomfortable." Really?!?!?!?!
  15. Hey, Being an international student (wow...feels sooooo weird calling myself that), I was not elibile to apply for the typical Canadian funding sources. I'm a doctoral student, so my funding package is being put together by my PI and the CSD Department. I do remember seeing on McGill's CSD Department website a list of funding opportunities for Canadian MS, PhD, and Post-Doc students. The deadlines have passed for many of them, but you may want to check it out.
  16. Maybe it's taking longer because you applied to the combined program. I think everyone except the two of us applied to do the two year SLP program. Everyone I've talked to has been wonderful so far, so I'm really looking forward to the visit. I will definitely let know how it goes!
  17. I applied to schools based on research fit, not program, so I ended up applying to 3 different programs: Psyc, Comm, and CSD. You're right...I do have a tough choice ahead. I've narrowed it down to two schools, but they're two different programs, in two different countries, each leading me down two very different paths. Craziness...
  18. I'm going to have a heart attack vicariously through you two. Every time I see you guys post, I'm hoping it's to share the good news. Come on, McGill!!!
  19. That is VERY exciting!!! I spy...an acceptance on the horizon.
  20. Same. I'm still waiting for mine from McGill.
  21. I just declined one of my offers. Is it just me or was it tough to turn them down, even with an acceptance to your dream school? I was so grateful for the offers I received. I felt terrible. The final cut will be even worse. Idk why this is bothering me so much.
  22. Oh, and just to clarify...I did not apply to U of T for SLP. I applied to there for Psyc.
  23. What?! I must've missed that one. Don't worry Vancity...that's just one call. They're not done notifying people...your call is coming!
