  1. You should apply no matter what. Don't write yourself off. Writing a note about your special circumstances would probably help -- as long as you did it professionally. And of course great professor + employer recs will go a long way to overcoming any letter grade issues.
  2. From what I've heard from friends at both Fletcher and SIPA, there are more superstars at SIPA, but it's difficult to interact with them. Fletcher seems to foster better student-teacher interactions.
  3. Chemonics, DAI, and other big USAID contractors are based in DC. Something to consider.
  4. GW's campus is basically right next door to the IMF and WB and other big institutions, which is a big plus if you're into that sort of stuff.
  5. Monitor 360 is in SF, but that's pretty much it, I think, if you've studied international affairs. Maybe Acumen Fund has an office out there?
