Thanks, but truthfully I have qualms about going. I really want to go to McMaster to be honest. I get the "feel" that the environment over there fits me better currrently, but some of the non-math staff people are so rude!

You get admission from a top program (that's roughly 2 years ahead of you) And they give you full finiancial aid (best in the country) And they give you early admission. Then you realize this school is not fit for you...

So ask early; How about something like "Dear [Name of Grad coordinator]", I was recently fortunate enough to receive an offer of admission from University of X and I have till [date] to give my answer, I am wondering if the deadline for the offer could be extended please? Thank you for reading

I applied for McMasters in Math, no word from them yet. I believe they work under the same department

I just got an offer today and I have been told that I have till the 17th of Feb to accept the offer. Does anyone have the same sort of ridiculously short time to decide? I applied for Masters of Math

Just got a response from Waterloo today, last place i expect to get in...and I did...I double checked with my name

I just heard back today (crazy considering I finished my app in Dec) and I got an invitation to Waterloo today.

Masters, Math. No word yet of course.

I can relate. One of my supervisors wrote a less than 500 word letter and there are almost no anecdotes. It contains nothing but generic stuff like "A in my class" and talks about a proposed research which was meant for a scholarship, and not for graduate admission...

When it asked me to write down the dates for my undergrad, for some reason I wrote down 2010 - 2013, and my transcript don't have dates on them... Also when it asked what scholarship I applied for, I wrote down "yes" for some reason and I didn't write which one I applied for lol...

OKay just called them, they were quite rude to my phone call and I got it sorted it out, kind of...

Has anyone here applied to McMaster University (math)? I tried calling them because I think they screwed up my application status and I emailed them and waited out 2 weeks and they did not respond. I even phoned the directory and the person that is supposed to work there is NEVER there. I tried this for 3 days straight.

OKay so one of my transcripts finally arrived, but strangely I sent both of my transcripts to the school and only one of them got received...

They made a decision already? It isn't even the dead line yet

Yeah, maybe it would also be a place for other appliciants to learn the mistakes of others. I see potential in this.

Has anyone applied to McMasters Mathematics program? I've sent my transcripts like a month ago and they still hasn't been updated yet. I am a little worried. How long does it usually take for transcripts to arrive from a different province ?
