  1. Does the UK do interviews for the Partnership ones? My email didn't mention it.
  2. I got recommended for a study grant thing in the UK.
  3. I'm so sorry for those who didn't get it. I hope you'll be able to try again next year as your projects were all amazing!
  4. I got recommended! Omg. I can't believe this happening.
  5. He is absolutely amazing. Brilliant actor, very nice person in interviews and of course, very funny. If you mean the partnership, yes they are at least the ones for the masters. My school sent an email about the different ones and when we'd hear back.
  6. I plan on spending the next few hours watching movies and shows Richard Armitage is in and then eating something absolutely delightful.
  7. CONGRATULATIONS!
  8. It all depends on your program. I know with mine (as I double checked 8,000 times) I don't apply to the school until after I get the Fulbright and until then, my letter of affiliation is my "acceptance." If you check the website, it'll tell you if you need to be accepted vs just affiliated.
  9. Good luck to everyone!
  10. Your profile picture...It still makes me so happy. Maybe I'll watch that while I wait for the result today.
  11. I totally lied to myself when I said I'd get off this thread. A fool's dream, really. I'm also feeling excited and sad. If I don't get recommended, I know I have other things to look forward to, but as this has been my dream for the past 5 years, I still be very bummed.
  12. My fav song! Love coheed
  13. Hey guys! I'm going to try and stay off grad cafe until Wednesday. I wish you all the best of luck!
  14. I don't have anything planned for tomorrow. I think I'm going to get some angry orchard and just relax. Try to do some school work. I'm not even sure if I'll open the email right away. I do know I want to be alone, just in case I have some emotional reaction. It might be awkward for my friends.
  15. Do most of the Ph.D ones require it? I'm not applying for one of those, but I'm just curious.
  16. For those of you who are applying to research/study at a specific university for the Fulbright, are you still applying there separately or are you only planning on attending if you get the Fulbright?
  17. I'm trying to read some articles for my grad anthro course and just cannot focus. I only have one course Tuesday that ends by 12.30pm, so I don't know what I'll do the whole day. I'm debating not coming back on here until Wednesday, but I want to congratulate anyone who gets to round 2 and I lack complete self-control with this website.
  18. I believe it states it on the webpage. There are tips for the UK ones in last year's forum.
  19. I can't believe the day is almost upon us!
  20. I applied to 11. The main issue I found was finding schools with funding and faculty I could work with as my interests are fairly interdisciplinary and not many people have researched them (or so says my current professors). I'm hoping that makes me stand out in a good way, as it meant a lot of of top tier school applications.
  21. Makes sense. One of my professors mentioned that some programs like to keep it even each year, so that I don't have a ridiculous amount of nay specialization. I heard duke only accepted 8 last year, which makes me even more nervous, though I know it is a reach for pretty much anyone.
  22. This is a dumb question but when they choose they probably go by disciplines right? So that they don't have like twelve renaissance people and one modernist?
  23. I applied for English not lit but I'm sure if you browse last years forum there will be interview tips!
  24. Haha. Thanks It is a bit of a reach, but I figure I should get it out of my system.
  25. I'm waiting to hear about an international fellowship too, so I basically live on this website regardless of time of the day...
