  1. I was fumbling around and hit the "enter" under pending and under status description it said that. Mine still says pending on the first page but that the department recommended me for admission on the second. Let me know if I can help you find it!
  2. Congrats to you publicly
  3. We'll see how great of a fit I am in a few weeks I'm sure, but thank you!
  4. Haha thanks! Still gotta wait on funding though but definitely humbled and happy
  5. Absoultely. That is why I am trying not to get very excited until I hear what my funding package is. I have heard it is terrible if you are not fully funded via people on here and friends up at UW.
  6. Yep! no details about anything other than recommended for admission.
  7. no word on funding yet but yes they are saying who was recommended for admission! yippee!
  8. Just got this type of news as well... I AM SO HAPPY NOW!!! even though funding is still not decided...recommended for admission!!! Thanks for asking this question!
  9. Bill fold
  10. Yes it is definitely giving me something to work on consistently and to think about. I am trying to check my email less regularly as well; however, seeing the Indiana posting prompted a check and now I am totally distracted :/
  11. haha as is my work on my thesis..directly tied to the work I want to do...we can just hope that they havent sent out official word and that is just a POI note and that more will come later today and tomorrow.
  12. If anyone wants to claim the Indiana acceptance and let me know what field that would be awesome!
  13. I agree.
  14. about $2000 to apply to 17 schools with all the GRE scores/transcripts/fees. I don't know the exact amount for the same reason as above.. I didn't total it ha
  15. Ugh, now I wish I wouldn't have looked on here...I wish I hadn't seen that IUB acceptance....now I will be super nervous for a while because if they are inviting people to visit that means they are inviting a batch of acceptances.
  16. I totally agree with that mentality that I would rather just get it out of the way even if it is a rejection...the looming feeling of not knowing is the worst!
  17. rough rider
  18. haha thanks! I hope so too. I am working on my thesis so there is something to distract me!
  19. Might be that they are doing it throughout the day today and tomorrow....just gotta wait! which I know is the worst
  20. There is an Indiana acceptance on the board! Nervous that I haven't received anything and that there is no change on my application status. My partner was accepted there so it would be nice to know that we have one option together.
  21. Absolutely. However, it is assumed the number of errors will be small enough it won't affect too much. As long as you follow up on what is missing, you have done pretty much all you can (sadly)!
  22. I discovered it when I went to the website and saw my scores weren't there. At this point in the process (late November/early December before I left for a 3 week trip to Southeast Asia), I was calling the secretary at each school where it said I was missing something or where they did not have an online tracking system to confirm that they had received my materials or that they just had not been posted online yet. When I called Berkeley, they told me that they had mismatched my GRE scores because they had typed the number wrong into the system. Clerical errors are ALL on the student. I found this out my first time around when I applied to Ohio State. They rejected me because they did not receive a statement of purpose from me. It turns out the graduate contact had lost the email with my admissions materials in it and therefore my file was not complete. That is why I was so meticulous this time. Screwed in the past. Ugh.
  23. Not available for all students at American college. I am pretty poor and was not eligible for any!
  24. I have a friend that already has a fellowship offer from there. Got it early last week just an FYI.
