  1. Is anyone looking for an apartment already for September 2014? I'm heading to McGill and I don't know anyone in Montreal. Anyone looking for a roommate? Any tips on apartment hunting?
  2. Haha. Clever. I meant that I thought Walmarts are local/US only.
  3. After reading this thread, I had to search online and I am so amazed to find out that there is Walmart in Montreal (or Canada for that matter). This is good news. Haha.
  4. Me too. iPad and and a MacBook Pro, for over a year now.
  5. Agreed 100%. Enthusiasm and specific interest are key discussion points. In my case though I discussed these things in my email changes with POI. The ECE department at McGill doesn't require an SOP. In fact you can't upload one. You can only fill in a form where each box asks you to discuss achievements, experiences, etc. It was all about the stats and numbers. I had to find a way to get my plans and vision across so I decided to find a POI after two weeks of submitting my application. I shot an email and the rest is history.
  6. I admire your spirit bro! Keep the fire burning
  7. The status will stay "In Review" until the official offer from GPS will arrive. You will get an email with the subject "Significant decision made" when you have been accepted and the status at uApply will also change from "In Review" to "Decision Made".
  8. I would get myself something German (A. Lange & Söhne 1815).
  9. Hey man, any news? Have you decided to pursue grad school this year, or work at the industry? I was browsing through the forum and remembered this conversation.
  10. Got into McGIll, Electrical and Computer Engineering. My undergrad GPA is ~3.5 (not sure, I did my own grades conversion). I say go ahead and apply!
  11. Pro if you do a lot of simulations and programming. Air for reading and word processing.
  12. Filipino, applied (and accepted) to one Canadian university.
  13. Cancun and an offer of acceptance? That is fricken awesome!
  14. Cool. Also, the department does not require the $300 deposit when accepting the offer so no actual commitment until you decide to register later on.
