  1. I know that idealistically both the school and the student should be looking at best fit. You will be accepted if you fit their criteria for a student; you should go to their school if it best fits the criteria that you have for a school. But I have a problem: I'm living internationally. I don't really have the time, money, or opportunity to go visit schools before I pick one. I'm going off of websites, e-mails, this forum, and Skype interviews alone to try and figure out which one will be the best fit for me. So I guess the question I have for you all here is this: Without being able to go to the campuses, what are criteria are you looking at to decide which school will be the best fit for you? How heavily are finances weighing your decision? Well-known profs? What you're able to study? What categories should I put on my giant pro/con list for all of my schools to know which one is the best for me?
  2. So I guess the "Misery" jokes are for a reason, then?

  6. I think it's a fluke and they have your email address on an old list for people requesting info. CCA is done with their interviews for the cycle. I did find out in an email, at least, that at CCA they don't interview everyone who is on their finalist list. So if you haven't heard from them yet... There's still more waiting and anticipation to be done!

  12. Nothing from your program (sorry), but as a Colorado native I have a moral obligation to make a correction here: it's CU, not UC. UC schools are California. And Boulder is implied. You'd only add the city onto the end of CU if you're going to their programs in Denver (CU Denver) or Colorado Springs (which isn't even CU Colorado Springs, it's CUCS). Sorry. Just. Had to. Plus if you end up with an interview it's good knowledge to have!! Go Buffs! And best of luck with the ceramics program there. It's really good.

  23. Rutgers: "I unclog my nose in your general direction, RU!" LOL! Nice almost Monty Python quote! Loving it. University of Denver: "Who needs those dirty hippies anyway!!" This one make me laugh mostly because DU as a school is actually fairly conservative. Denver as a city is liberal, but the University not so much. Edit: I should probably mention that I'm originally from Colorado and my sister went to DU for her undergrad. She was constantly frustrated by the politics at the school.
