First official rejection. Feeling numb at the present moment, but I'm just waiting for it to hit me later. I'm determined to not let it ruin my workday, but we'll see how long I'll last before I break down in my cubicle.

California: complains when there's no rain and, when there is rain, doesn't know how to deal with it.

SoCal is one of those places where it doesn't rain enough for people to justify buying an umbrella and carrying it around, but it rains just enough so that it's hilarious when they don't. But hey, I'm in LA and I wear waterproof midboots and carry a totes umbrella around on a near-daily basis, JUST on the off chance I get to have that schadenfreude.

Back when I had a girlfriend, I avoided carrying pictures of her specifically to avoid bothering people like you. As someone who has dated his high school sweetheart,and is now single, I can tell ya that a) things don't always last and
I sympathize with the frustration behind every eligible person being unavailable. I work with a bunch of people my age and literally one girl out of all of them is single.

I really miss the anxiety of waiting on admissions results. I feel so bored now, I need something to look forward to.
